For the sake of my own sanity..or what's left of it...LOL!, with a few exceptions I'm not going to be reading your SPN episode reviews anymore. Sorry!

Unlike other posts where you can get an idea what you are going to be reading if you click on the cut, because of the outcry over being spoiled.. with episode reviews you can't.

And by then it's too late.

I don't expect everyone to like every episode..I don't myself! I don't expect everyone to share the same views on what they have seen! But..

But yesterday...the Titanic would have sunk under the weight of the negativity that I read! At least four of you are close to never watching SPN again, another was whingeing about it without even having watched it! And from some of the comments and those of your friends ..I found myself thinking WTF?..are we even watching the same programme anymore!

So as well as sinking the Titanic, my mood sank as well. I have enough trouble trying to keep that up anyway..without having all the enjoyment I found sucked right out of it.
Not only that it sends my will to be creative right out the window..and that is an outlet for me.

It makes me sad as well, that because SPN is the only programme I download, I don't get to squee or not with you over others that we share an interest in. When i see them, generally you are pass that point.

I really was close to hitting the defriend button last night, I slept on it and didn't and I'll sleep on it some more. But to be honest, if you don't like SPN anymore, or aren't going to watch it anymore and you don't comment on my posts anyway..what's the point on staying on each others lists?

If anyone wants to defriend me over this, or anything else, then fair enough, please do so.

Okay, end of me moaning..you can uncover your eyes..or unblock your ears now ;-)

I know exactly how you feel! I just finished commenting earlier on this very same thing on another friends journal! o.O

I quit reading most episode reviews a long time ago. Now I only read a few of the ones from people I feel I can really trust. Actually, yours has always been one of the ones that I usually read because you don't immediately jump on the hate wagon. I mean, c'mon already people! The only reason I come online is to share in the fun of being a fan and to celebrate the show! Life is ugly enough as it is.. this is supposed to be about escapism! Quit harshing on my squee!

I realize that Supernatural isn't perfect but I love it and want to just enjoy it without the constant hating on it that I've been seeing recently. It sure seems like lately there has been an awful lot of hatefulness and divisiveness being put out by some (so-called) fans. I'm just not into that and I'm not going to participate in it either. (which explains why I'm mostly just a lurker. *lol*)

I can feel your pain *hugs* I used to read many reviews but then when negativity started to be the main reason to write them - why bother to readat all? I know somу people who write reviews as they needed to be written - objective and with love and i continue to read them. Others? No way. I know what i watch and what i like and it's enough for me to enjoy my shiny show.

Hey there -- I saw this post and was going to wait until tomorrow to reply because I'm not a my own house and it seemed rude to take over Terry's computer... but she's asleep and the house is quiet and I keep *thinking* about this, so I just decided to hell with it and logged in. :)

I never thought about defriending before. *laugh* You can do that?

I wasn't able to read any of the comments on my flist about the episode because my watching it and then writing up the Stream of Consciousness was done in such a hurried fashion I never got a chance. Now, reading this, I don't think I'll bother (for this episode at least).

I read the comments on my review and I read the reviews of a few trusted souls, and I'm gonna say that's enough for me. Because, yeah... I don't want to be Titanic'd. Plus... and this may sound harsh, and I don't mean for it to, but... if people are "thinking about not watching anymore" I think they should just stop watching. I do agree with one of your comments that if people didn't care so much about a show and its characters they wouldn't get so up in arms about it, but on the other hand, those who "threaten" to stop watching because of reason X, Y, or Z make me think "are you wanting us to beg you to stay?"

I'm just not sure what they are expecting to get out of that... other than, I suppose, the right to express their opinion. *shrug* Just because I have yet to be disappointed in the show or the direction it's taking doesn't mean my opinion is the right one. Nor does it mean they can't express thiers, right? Hmmm... I think I might be talking myself in circles.

My point, if I have one, is basically that I am glad for your thoughts. And I'm glad that you've read my thoughts. And I'm glad that there is such a passionate fanbase for this unique and totally captivating show. And I'm glad that I didn't read (many) negative comments (I saw one thing on BuddyTV that made me shake my head with a genuine WTF moment).

*puts hand over heart* I promise to always put a pre-cut preview that will let you know if I'm disappointed in episode. Not that I ever foresee that happening...

Okay, maybe I can go to sleep now. *laughs at self*

LMFAO, um... what?? :|

I wasn't impressed with the last episode but that's my opinion and I respect others whether they hate or love it.

I would still like to stay friends though and I'm not planning on defriending you anytime soon but if you feel the need to, I understand.

I think it's a good thing I don't read any other repisode reviews except those on my flist. And yes, I read yours.

I didn't know there are such a lot of negative reviews out there. And I don't understand why. I like the episode. It's SPN at the basic if you know what I mean. I know that it's not monsters or demons or ghosts. But come on..people are a lot scarier than any monsters. And I'm glad that they chose to continue on with what we're left in Heaven and Hell. Dean cannot be back as dandy as the next guy after THAT. He's a broken hero now, more than ever. And yes, I want to see how they deal with it.

I´m sorry you felt so bad. But when this happens, is important to remember why we liked this show. The story, the characters, and specially the brothers bond is what gives SPN it´s uniqueness. I love the show and in every show there are episodes that we don´t like. But only SPN made me begin to find information in the web, and allowed me to discover great people who had stories, photos, opinions and friendship to share. So keep going and forget about the negative comments, there´s a whole world of people that still enjoys the show. Hugs.

Aw Jo....I know what you mean by the negativity.....

I was going to post my moaning in my LJ (I wasn't keen on the latest ep, in fact I pretty much disliked it) but I remembered how pissed off I get when I read other peoples negative reviews...

People have very high expectations of SN...and they also seem to get a weird kick out of slagging a show they claim to love....*shrugs* I don't get it myself.

Try not to let the negativity get you down and when it does get to you, just remember you're meeting Jensen in May!

I know...I just don't know why people are acting all this...I LOVED it even though it creeped me out! The ending felt like Season 1 and everything. It was really enjoyable...but still at the same time Creepy!!! Since they went back to the human route again. But it still had a meaning too it if you look between the lines...it was pretty much all about Dean and his redemptation.
But I will never stop watching this show...it's addicting and well addicting. I can't wrap my head around it to stop watching it even though in some episodes seem like blah or down right creepy I still want to watch it or just total awesomeness!. Because I just love this! :) I think there's neagitvitiy all through this episode because of Dean....I really liked the episode beside the creep factor all the way around it! But keep watching it I think it will get better and it was the first episode back from hiatus and than we have a couple more awesome episode's coming up than after 4x14....another hiatus. I'm pretty sure they just didn't like it because of Dean's confession at the end....but it was pretty scary episode and was glad to go back to that route since after the other episodes there wasn't that scary creep factor.
