For [livejournal.com profile] mini_moue . I couldn't re-create it exactly as I couldn't remember..LOL! But this is near.

Going from this Photobucket to this Photobucket

I use Paintshop Pro 8, but I'm sure it translates okay. You will need OptikVerse Labs Virtual Painter which you can download for free here.

1) Open your Jeff pic (link above if you don't have it), copy and paste as a new image and close your original.

2) Right click your background layer and duplicate.

3) Effects, Optikverse Labs Virtual Painter. Use Ambiance and check the B/W box like so..

4) Dupliate the layer and set to hard light at 34.

5) Duplicate again and set to multiply at 52.

6) Merge all your layers.

7) New raster layer, selctions, select all.

8) Take this texture, again I don't know who made it sorry!

and open it.

9) Copy it. Go back to the Jeff pic and paste into selection.

10) Set this layer to screen and move it over to the right so it covers the wall light.

11) Duplicate that layer.

12) Image- mirror. Selections-defloat. Selections-select none.

13) Image-flip and move to cover part of the bed and magazine.

14) New raster layer. Image- picture frame. This comes with PSP if Photoshop doesn't have the same then use a similar one or brush.

15) Merge all layers

16) Duplicate and set to soft light at 14 and then sharpen. I used sharpen more as the layer is only set at 14.

17) Merge all and this is the result.

Hope this makes sense as I did it so many times trying to work out how I did it..that I confused myself! So please ask if it doesn't.
