Fanfic writers...

..you know I love you, I adore you, but sometimes you're WICKED!!!

Death fics..yep.. I have read plenty of labeled death fics, because I'm all about the angst..shed some tears, enjoyed them and moved on.
Only twice now though have they resulted in complete meltdown..full blown bawling, puffy eyes, lots of snot (Ewww..), hubby wondering what the hell's happened, and they take a long while to get over. Both have been WIP's , and okay maybe you're not expecting a happy ending, but you're not expecting that either..so it's a real sucker punch!

Both times it has been in the SPN fandom..the first time it was Dean and last night it was Sam. I now know that if Supernatural gets a good run and Kripke goes down that route..however much a Dean girl I am.. it better be him that goes! I can't handle Dean watching Sammy die, especially if he's the one pulling the trigger..which is what happened.

So today I find myself over emotional, and twice I have whacked my little toe on Chloe's highchair. How I managed to yell FUDGE! and not the other word I don't know..cause it hurts like the blazes now :-(

We read the same fic then.. Dean shot Sam.. Didn't see that one coming at all, and tho' normally it takes more to make my cry, I suddenly found myself having to wipe away a few tears. Damn. Some fic writers are just too good at that emotional stuff!

Just the thought of that makes my heart clench. :((

My friend nairie once made a suggestion for a possible ending for SPN: Sam turns to the "dark side" for some reason, Dean can't get through to him and has to kill him. He shoots Sammy, battles the rest of the monsters around and then turns the gun on himself. :(( I don't believe any of this could or will ever happen, but just her description made me go "OMG NO!!!"

Did you just finish reading In-a-gadda too? 'Cause it seriously killed me. I cried and fanfiction never does that to me, :(

At least I had a pretty good idea that it was coming though (well, not so much Sammy, but a death anyway). I've read two fics in the last couple days that had deaths at the end without any warning at all and that pissed me off. I don't like a death fic if I'm not ready for it.

I don't think I'll be able to watch either boy die, but yeah, Sammy dieing would be worse. Poor Dean, he wouldn't survive it.

Yep! I wasn't expecting a happy ending so much, but I wasn't really expecting that, and everytime I got myself under control I started up again :-( The flashbacks were killers!

I usually liked to be warned first, although with "When It's Over"..which killed me the most, and still does even now thinking about it..it probably would have spoiled it.

And no ..no more dying...you listening Kripke! LOL!
